Artist Statement

My paintings and drawings reflect my life, both real and imagined.  I want to capture the raw and honest moments of everyday life. I explore the blurry line between truth and fiction, focusing on fleeting visual experiences that I often capture spontaneously. My work is mostly figurative, but sometimes evolves into abstraction or symbolism. I use art as a tool to communicate with the world, tell my stories, and better understand myself. I primarily use acrylic and oil paint for painting, and pencil, charcoal, ink, and pastel for drawing. My work evolves around the human experience, memories and rooted in art history.
