Portraits

In 2020 and 2021 I focused on painting and drawing portraits. Most of the portraits are of my partner the photographer Alen MacWeeney. In some of the portraits Alen is sitting by the table, eats breakfast, soup or lemon pound cake, or drinks tea and water. When nothing around was familiar and normal, we hanged on to the little fragments of time that construct the daily life at home during quarantine. In other portraits Alen is captured with his camera, taking photos. In both examples I could focus on his hands and make them important part of the portrait.
